Pand-Epic 2021 Short Ride Cue Sheet with Maps
Below is a parking map that will show you exactly where we will meet and finish the ride.
We gather at 10AM to provide Bike Safety Checks and help with proper fitting and tire pressure.
At 10:30AM we will take a short practice ride to review the rules of the road and make sure everyone is comfortable on their bikes.
All levels of riders are welcome and will be escorted at their pace.
Please Register each rider for this event so we know how many to plan for.

This ride will honor the over 1500 residents and 18 staff members of OC Long Term Care Facilities (LCTFs) who died of COVID. Each stop will be at a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) and will be a gathering point for other facilities in the area to hold a brief memorial for those who died in that area. This will not be your typical cycling event; it is more a memorial event. In order to keep the group together to arrive at each facility at the same time, participants considering the 60 mile route must be comfortable riding in a group on the road and be able to maintain a 16-18 MPH pace. The shorter route is appropriate for all levels of riders; this will be at a slower pace and will be mostly on a bike path. The two groups will meet at the final stopping point, and return together to the Health Department for a final closing ceremony.

At each stop there will be a brief memorial.
At the finish there will also be refreshments.

Bring your bike for a short practice ride with all your supplies and any questions.
Bike mechanics will be on hand for safety checks and minor fittings.

Every rider must wear a helmet and bring a mask to be worn at all stops.
Please bring a water bottle, ID, phone and an extra tube in case of flat tire.
