"The best routes are the ones you haven't ridden. The best views are the ones you haven't seen. You haven't been everywhere, and that's a good reason to go." — Unknown

Sojourn is defined as a short stay or visit…so this ride is going to be a little different than previous club centuries in that the journey itself is not the sole focus, instead the theme for the day is to be a tourist in Los Angeles and see all of those places you never take the chance to visit because it is such a complete hassle to get there. The plan is to hit the following locations: 1) Griffith Observatory (45.1), (2) Hollywood Sign Overlook (50.6), (3) Chinese Theater (55.7) where Deny’s shiny gold bike will fit in perfectly, and (4) SOFI Stadium (70.0). We will be taking a group photo at each location.
As usual, this is a self-supported ride, but luckily being in Los Angeles, we are never more than 10 minutes away from a Del Taco or McDonalds, so we aren’t exactly taking huge risks here. The plan is to stop at 7-Eleven at mile maker 31.2 (York BLVD & 54Th Avenue on the Left) and again at mile 68.6 (la Brea & Hazel on the right). In between we will have additional restroom breaks available at our stops. I would have scheduled more rest stops, but Mattia gets angry…so please bring cash/card/phone and make sure to eat and stay hydrated over the course of the ride…we have had people bonk before, so do your best to down that convenience store Tuna Melt or add extra ketchup to that day old hot dog. This is a no-drop ride…if you start with the group, we will do our very best to keep you in…the only request is that you should be able to sustain 20MPH in the draft, and you should be comfortable riding in a group (1 wheel length behind the bike in front of you)…you don’t have to worry about pulling, I scheduled around Ian and Eric’s vacations to make sure we had coverage on that front. There are some bumps on this ride…notably Mt. Hollywood is 925FT over 4.3miles and Deronda Drive at 6
